Sterling change

In the upcoming issue of Madison magazine, you’ll read a letter from a proud mom who is also a JMU graduate.  She has a very, very special son who is moving mountains by changing some long-held and false perceptions about what is possible.  Her son, Sterling, appeared on the cover of the winter issue of Madison, which prompted the letter from JoAnn Moore Grooms (’73, ’88M, ’03M).  I was astounded when I read her letter and you will be too.  I won’t tell you any more about Sterling Grooms just now, but look for your copy of Madison sometime in mid-April.

You are in for a treat. And that’s just a letter to the editor! This issue of Madison magazine is stuffed with wonderful stories about JMU people and what they are doing to change the world. You’ll also be able to read the entire magazine online, turn pages with a mouse click and zoom in and out to getting a better look at the pictures. (As soon as the link is available, I’ll post it.)  I promise you will be incredibly impressed by the people you read about — as well as be inspired by the accomplishments of Sterling Grooms, one young man who is changing the perceptions of a whole lot of people and making the world a better, brighter place for a whole lot more.
